feeding piglets

i know that piglets should start eating at 2-3 weeks old but can anymore give me how much food i should be feeding them week by week and can anyone suggest a good crepe food and when should i switch from crepe food to weaner feed and how much should i feed mum whilst she is pregnant and then when she is feeding the piglets thanks for all your help from pedro1

Hi Pedro,

Feed mum 3lbs of feed for herself and add another half pound for every piglet she is feeding. build up to this gradually from birth to 3 weeks old so she is then at the maximum and kee her on that till you wean at 8 weeks.
there is no need to feed the piglets - they will steal a little from mum and as long as you feed her well she will do them well.

when you wean them, give them about 1lb of food each per day split in two feeds. don't feed them weaner or grower - it is very high protein and they will get very fat and grow too quickly . best for them is sow nuts - 16% protein.
