Plums for pigs?

Post by Diane » Thu Sep 11, 2008 10:54 pm

We have a plum tree that has produced loads of fruit this year - a lot has been blown off the tree and I wondered if you can give it to pigs, or whether the stone is a problem for them - thanks.

Yes! :D My pigs love plums, I let them out under my plum trees and they just eat and eat. They can easily eat the stones even if it sounds horrible. They haven't had any problems with plums yet.

Thanks. Tried them with some this afternoon - needless to say, they took no time at all to disappear - know what you mean about the horrible crunching sound, though :D
