Help with grazing
Hi all. I hope you can help me. I am new to this. I have recently acquired 2 Kune boars that were free to a good home!!! When i collected them they were in very deep mud with no fresh grass. The boys are 4 years old and have been fed weening nuts since 8 weeks!! They are now in a field with very mixed pasture but they appear to have lost the ability to graze properly. I have been supplementing them with dry sow nuts and fruity treats. Should i just wait and let them remember how to graze or is there something i should be doing to encourage grazing. Many Thanks
Re: Help with grazing
why do you think they have lost the ability to graze? what are they doing?

Re: Help with grazing
Perhaps if you try cutting back a little on the hard feed and fruit/Veg they may start to take more interest? I also scatter food around widely on the ground (not in their toilet area of course) this may encourage grazing but I guess it may also encourage a bit of rooting in some cases although mine don't luckily

Cheerio for now, Sam Jones
