Can anyone help!
I bought two kunekunes last april they are sisters but one of them is the runt, I had the vet out three weeks ago for there third erysorb injection. Rusty (the ill runt) had been showing sighns of what I thought was lameless but the vet thought it was worms so both of the girls had worming injection's and the vet said it would take several weeks to work. Rusty however is still playful and eating well but seems to be losing weight!
Has anyone experianced this with any of their kunekunes as I don't know what to do next.

When I got my two gilts a year ago last November Bacon was the larger of the two having been the largest in the litter. I noticed that Smokey, although very lively and playful lost a lot of weight. When I observed them feeding Smokey was taking longer and therefore not getting the same quantity as Bacon - I felt it may have been something to do with her teeth. The result was Bacon got even bigger and Smokey became quite skinny. I separated them at feed time and for a while gave Smokey a little more - Bacon finished her grub much quicker than Smokey who gained weight well. After a while I let them feed together and again but soon Smokey showed a dramatic weight loss so separated them again. After a while things evened out and Smokey seems to eat at the same rate as Bacon now although she is smaller in build but as I mentioned Bacon has been a big girl since birth. Its something you might like to consider.

Thanx Louise NL
We had tryed this for three weeks, thinking the same as you had said, that Rusty was getting less than her sister (stripey). So i'll try again and see what happens.
