Hi all,
My 4 week old piglets have diarrhoea. It is milky white in colour. I have just started to feed them some pig creep pellets. They are all still eating and drinking and don't look poorly.
Any advice on how to get them all healthy again greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Cath
Advice needed - 4 week old piglets have diarrhoea
I never give mine any creep feed at all. They should be fine on mothers milk and pinching a few of her sow nuts until 8 weeks . When you work out the mothers ration at 3 lbs a day plus half a pound for each piglet she is feeding you are taking into account what they will scavenge.
I would treat them with spectam scourhalt as a precaution anyway .
when you wean them don't put them onto weaner pellets. these are far too high in protein for kunes. as a rule of thumb i would never give them anything higher that 16% and 12% is better. Unless you're in a big hurry to get them in the freezer
