Hello I have a 12 year old male castrated kunekune. I have had him since he was 6 weeks old and had him with others for 6 years before a 5 year separation. I have now been reunited with him as the people looking after him could not manage the feeding - he needed to be separated from his mate as he had got incredibly thin. He ate slowly and was being bullied so was not getting enough food. I have had them for 4 weeks now and he has gradually put on weight, eating 4 lb of pig nuts a day and cooked carrots with a potato, plus apples cut up. I have noticed that he has a swelling in back mammary gland and the teat is larger than the others. It is also a bit red. He does not seem to mind if I palpate the area and it feels soft to touch, no hard mass. No obvious cuts that I can see. Any ideas what this might be, please?
Anna
