I am considering getting a couple of kunekune pigs next spring and I have LOTS of questions! To start off with, we live in a river valley with a lot of vegetation and suffer quite badly with midges from spring to autumn. Are pigs affected by midges? Could this be a problem?

I haven't noticed them giving ours any trouble. Presumably the thick hairy coat protects them.

That is good to hear; would hate to get some pigs and for it to be like a living hell for them because of the pesky midges! Thanks for your responses.
