sending pigs to Northern Ireland

Post by Rowlands » Mon Feb 02, 2009 6:41 pm

Has anyone any experience of sending pigs to Northern Ireland? I've just had an enquiry from a lady who's wanting to buy a couple of piglets and although she could come and pick them up, I wasn't able to tell her how to go about transporting them or any special proceedures that may be necessary prior to importation.

shouldn't be a problem with northern ireland as it is great britain so you wont be exporting,
the only port they can travel to is larne so they have to leave from stranraer in scotland. check with the ferry company thet they do take pigs cos some don't and you have to book the crossing in advance with the BPA
