Baldness due to birds.

Post by kaz g » Sat Jul 06, 2013 3:36 am

Hi Everyone

I am in need of help/advice. I have 3 wonderful KKs. The problem is I have noticed that we have a magpie who regularly lands on my castrated boar's (Vince) back and has plucked his hair out  . He is now quite bald  , it is starting to regrow ish slowly but I am getting sick of darting out of the house like a lunatic every time this bird starts plucking at poor old Vince's hair. Vince doesn't seem to mind, theres no broken skin, no reddening of his skin or anything. Any ideas/advice or anything - apart from regularly patrolling the area and being on Magpiewatch!!! Thanks in advance!

If it doesn't stop soon I would be getting someone round with a gun.
It might sound harsh, but birds learn and copy from each other and eventually they will break the skin. Then you will have a serious problem.
