I have had my gorgeous kunekunes mixed with goats and chickens for 10 years. All are friendly and petted daily. This week one of the pigs was caught red faced with a chicken in his mouth!
I am completely shocked by this as they have all lived very happily together for ever!
I have sadly now separated pigs and chickens but wondered how normal this is?
PS I have had a look through similar posts but couldn't find an exact match.

I have kept kunes and chickens together for years, and have seen plenty of other people doing it as well. I have never heard of a kune killing a chicken before.

Could the chicken have already been dead? I once spotted one of my pigs with a chicken leg in his mouth but then realised i’d had a fox attack and he had just stumbled upon one of the carcasses and helped himself to a tasty meal. Despite then presumably having a taste for chickens he never once attacked them and even used to lie down with them perching on his back.
