kunekune pigs

I'm selling my kunekune pigs, as I've no real time to spend with them, and its not fair on them.
There is a 2 year old boar, a 2 year old sow and a 5 year old sow.
Very friendly and can do some tricks.
Not looking for alot of money, but a good no great home is essential.

Scottish piglets

I have had a litter of 8 little black and white spotted and black piglets. All very adorable and will be ready in the second week of February if anyone wants to pre-order.

Apparently, they tell me, all the kids loved them. This is the first time that Kintyre Show has had pigs for kids to see and I will assume that the dairy farmers wil be up in arms and I'll get the blame if their cows misbehave in the ring! Mid Argyll loved them last year and the pigs were a top attr...

My friend does this with her alpacas.

Its worth it for a few animals, but not really viable for those with large herds.

I'm all for using no medicines!

It was not on my list of questions to ask! But with hindsight I probably should have given the breeder if my pigs a wide berth, but I was so in love with the piglets that it never crossed my mind that breeders would hide such problems!! I suppose if his piglets are not castrated then he won't know t...

The unfortunate thing is that most people dont check for hernias! Or ask if there is a history of them.

If I breed again then the boys will routinely be castrated.

Is it a hereditory condition? Can you still breed from boars with them? I had both with hernias, so I got them castrated (operation job) as I thought that they shouldn't be bred from.
Was I wrong?

I have done that with Tamworths! A sow took on 3 of her sisters piglets with no hassle.
If you know that your sow well enough, you should be confident to try!!

Providing mum is good natured, I would put him back after every feed during the day, I know it's not practical at night.
He then still associates with his siblings and may even try to feed from her, but he may not be as strong as them and get enough milk.
Well done !
