3 Breeding sows, 2 years old (can be put in pig)

Kereopa/Andrew bloodlines. 1 ginger and 1 ginger and black female smaller with lovely dished faces, one quite large ginger and black, maybe better suited to someone wanting to ...

Re: kunekunes wanted

Hi, we're in Oxfordshire, and have a litter notified boar that will be 18 months in Jan, when he reaches the time limit for being registered. As he's a lovely boy I'd prefer him to go for breeding, but otherwise will be sausages as I have both his dad and another boar. He's a nice size to produce me...

Re: my kunekune killed and ate a chicken, any experience of t

Thanks for that. All our pigs have their arcs within their paddocks, maybe she got out very early morning and couldn't then get back to shelter so got cold/wet, though she wasn't snuffling. She came running up to my truck when I got back after the morning school run, carrying rabbit like a retriever...

Re: my kunekune killed and ate a chicken, any experience of t

I lost a sow 2 days after I found her with half a rabbit (had obviously been dead a couple of days - the rabbit not the sow!). She had a litter of piglets which used to run in and out of the pig area onto the better grass, going under the electric fence, and one day she came running up to my truck w...

Re: Advertising and price

Hi, preloved.co.uk have a big livestock section, you need to be a member to place an advert, but only costs about £5 /year. You can search "wanted" without being a member, but members get the newest adverts (less than a week old). Well worth using that site, there is a big smallholding community usi...

Re: Building a wallow

Hi, you could spend ages digging it out, or you could let them do it themselves! We put a hose on to the soil for a few minutes, or wait until had a few hours of rain, then just start making a small scrape in the ground (few inches deep and about 1 foot long). Refill with water from hose and let the...
