Re: Pig with Bladder Stones

Hello, My pig (castrated boy) had bladder stones/cystitis over a year ago (See my posts above). He could not wee - his bladder was full and he just dribbled all the time. He would not move around and stayed in his house. He was extremely ill, in fact I thought the end had come for him. I had a least...

Pig with Bladder Stones

Does anyone know of a cure for a pig with bladder stones? I have a castrated male kunekune who has bladder stones. The impression I get from the vet is that the bladder stones move about and then sometimes come down and block him so that he cannot wee properly. I have had the vet out 3 times within ...

Weed killer

My field is slowly getting covered in rushes. Does anyone know of a weed killer I could use that doesn't involve keeping my three Kunes out for long. Apart from the field they only have a small enclosure that they use in winter.
Thanks.

Help -----RATS

I have seen signs of rats near my chicken house. I want to put some poison down in bait boxes. My pigs live nearby and my worry is that they may come across a dead poisoned rat and eat it. How likely is this?

I thought poisoned rats would hide away to die.

Re: Spring and Summer feeding

Hi, When you said P & A food did you mean Allen & Page pot bellied feed? I changed from that to Farmgate Sow and Weaner (in a pink bag) It was cheaper and they liked it better as when I changed over I gave them a bit of each for a while and they always ate the Farmgate first. Also I noticed that aft...

Re: erispeilis injections

I got my last bottle of Porcilis ery about a month ago and it cost me around £10 for 25 doses. My vet said I could store it in the fridge and it was fine to use the same bottle as long as I used a fresh needle and syringe each time otherwise it could become contaminated. I have only kept bottles lon...
