Apparently you could just plant a pumpkin plant in it and the pumpkins would be huge .... no soil, just poo!!!

I have just had 2 "meat pigs" slaughtered and butchered £35 the pair - much cheaper than I expected ... but dont just go on price, make sure the slaughter house is up to scratch and treats the animals properly. Ours have a time slot and they are done there and then, no hanging around and you can wat...

Some of my kunes have lost about half their hair after they have weaned their piglets, I have also seen other kunes with hair loss for no particular reason.

I often wonder if people actually calculate the costs before selling the piglets for a lower price? To castrate my boys it costs just over 40 each, then petrol costs on top, feed and general care bedding, iodine, wormer etc there isnt much left after that at a good asking price! I sold my first litt...

Could also be Greasy Pig disease, sounds like Marmite disease. I would also say to get this checked out as it is easier to treat if caught early.

Hello all, I am a little concerned about the amount of people "giving away" pigs and piglets for free on preloved. I understand that older pigs may need to be rehomed for various reasons but some are being given away at only 8 weeks old. I feel that by giving them away for free takes away the import...

I ripped most of mine out of the paddocks as I heard it was poisenous but couldnt get it all out, the pigs love to get a munch when they can, so in my experience as long as it isnt too much it seems OK.
Also pigs are very intelligent and dont seem to eat the things they shouldnt.

Please take a look at my lovely brand new piglets ... they are wonderful.

We have 6 castrated boars g/b and b/w and 2 gilts b/w all with their piris.

Congratulaitons! The photo looks great and both daughter and pig look very smart! I hope to do this with my children when they are a bit bigger.

Not sure what type of straw mine have, all I know is it doesnt last long! They all gather for a feast as soon as I put it down and it is down to mulch by he next morning!
