I am finding it increasingly difficult to get the correct price for our piggies - a lot of interest but no-one comes back after asking the price. In the past I have had no problem ...

Transporting to France

Hi, I have friends living in Brittany very interested in taking some of our pigs as bloodlines locally are becoming a bit limited . Is it just a case of contacting DEFRA or is there a lot involved? We have a lot going on at the moment but if it wasn't too much extra work we were considering taking a...

constipatated piglet

Hi, we have a 2 week old piglet that for the past day or so seems fatter than the rest and this morning i have noticed it straining for the toilet and not managing anything. It does appear to have an anus so i thought constipation could be the problem - what do you think and if constipated what coul...

Absolutely! It seems like my life is spent administering injections at the moment- poor little things! I must say the full 1ml syringe for the iron seems such a lot compared with the 0.1ml baytril ! Other than the raspy sound and the heart murmur this little piigy seems very happy and healthy so fin...

Quick update on the raspy piglet- vet says she has a heart murmur and has given me antibiotic for the respiratory problem. I took her brother with us to keep her company and the poor little travel companion ended up being castrated- the vet likes to do them under 1 week so no general needed, the 2 f...
